We are on the cusp of a new Automation Age where companies are ever increasingly using robotics and algorithms to optimize their supply chain and carry out their business functions. These further advance in robotics, artificial intelligence and machine learning which have brought us to the cusp of this new automation age where machines can not only outperform human performance in a variety of manual tasks but now, for the first time, tasks that require cognitive capabilities. In this paper, we investigate the impacts of automation technologies by identifying tasks for executing works and by examining the whole lifecycle of the built environment.
